C-MORE has recently hosted the following researchers.
Luis Barberá Martínez | Luis Barberá Martínez is a visiting student from the Department of Industrial Management, School of Engineering at the University of Seville. He received Master of Industrial Organization and Management in January 2010, at University of Seville. This is the second year of his PhD program (four years). Research topic: Modelling e-maintenance policies for the improvement of production systems dependability and eco-efficiency. He has been working about different areas: evaluation of RAMS software tools and some software tools based on RCM methodology; develop of maintenance management models; maintainability; new e-maintenance services and graphic indicators to support decision making in maintenance management. In addition, he works in different projects with industrial companies within his department, at the University of Seville. |

Domenico Centrone | Domenico Centrone is a second year PhD candidate at Politecnico di Milano - Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering (Milan - Italy). He focuses his research activity on the maintenance management; the title of his PhD thesis is: "Asset Life Cycle Management: New Approaches and Supporting Tools".
He is also involved in several ongoing research projects, among them is IMS (Intelligent Manufacturing Systems) – Manufacturing Technology Platform (MTP) “M4SM” Maintenance for Sustainable Manufacturing. He received Master of Science in Industrial Engineering in October 2007, at Politecnico di Milano, with the thesis: "Performance analysis and control of a time constrained tandem system" developed at TU/e (Eindhoven – The Netherlands). |
Aiwina Heng | Aiwina is a visiting student from the Australian Cooperative Research Centre for Integrated Engineering Asset Management (CIEAM). She is currently two years into her PhD working on artificial intelligence methods for predicting machinery reliability. Aiwina holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from Queensland University of Technology. |

Jan Block | Jan Block is an industrial PhD candidate at the Division of Operation and Maintenance Engineering at Luleå University of Technology. His thesis work is related to methodologies for extracting information from complex operational and maintenance data related to aircraft systems. He received his MSc degree in Physics and Mathematics from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden in 2002. |

Alfredo Suarez | Alfredo Suarez has more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the field of Maintenance and Reliability Engineering at Cerrejón Mine, currently the largest open pit coal mine in the world. His current project is concerned with Wear-Debris-Centred Condition Monitoring, and Cox's Proportional Hazard Model as a Condition Based Maintenance tool. Alfredo holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the University of Guajira, and received his MSc in Maintenance Management from the University of Zulia in 2007. |

Chris Maharaj |
Dr. Chris Maharaj is an Assistant Professor in the Design and Manufacturing group of the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT). He holds BSc and MSc qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Management respectively from the University of the West Indies (UWI). His PhD was awarded by Imperial College London in Mechanical Engineering. He has experience in the Petrochemical and Petroleum Refining Industries as a Condition Monitoring and Inspection Engineer. His present research interests are in mechanical component design optimization, failure analysis, life assessment, reliability, and innovation management. |
