Sharareh Taghipour Joins Ryerson's Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering

Congratulations to Dr. Sharareh Taghipour who has accepted an offer to become a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at Ryerson University. Sharareh specialized in maintenance optimization and reliability engineering at MIE (her PhD was under the supervision of Professor Andrew Jardine) and will focus on research and teaching in reliability engineering with close industrial collaborations.

Professors Donmez and Jardine » AUTO 21 Funding

Professors Birsen Donmez and Andrew K.S. Jardine, in partnership with HEC Montreal, Virage Simulation of Montreal, and Fleet Challenge Ontario were awarded funding of $86,000 per year for a two-year project related to the theme of sustainability initiatives in the automotive industry. Project title is “The Driving Simulator-based Eco-drive Training Project”. Doctoral student Corey Kiassat provided key support in developing the proposal.
